This is a great arrangement for the occasional solderer. But at this price, it makes sense. Weller sells these for over 60 which I think is a bit much. Remove your soldering tip, screw this on in its place, a voila, instant temperature-controlled desoldering tool.

I haven't used it since getting a vacuum desoldering system, but works fine and is in great shape. Offered here is a Weller Dstcp desoldering attachment adapter for TC201 irons, used with the wtcp-series soldering stations.
